  • Account Information: Email address, full name, phone number, zipcode, pronouns, date of birth, and security PIN

  • Calendar Data: Events, appointments, tasks, titles, descriptions, locations, attendees, priorities, and notes

  • Financial Data: Income and expense records, transaction amounts, payment due dates, business names, and financial notes (C.R.E.A.M. feature)

  • Goal Data: Weekly goals (The Road Ahead), daily goals (The Bible), and completion tracking

  • Self-Care Data: Non-negotiable activities, reminder times, and frequency preferences

  • Journal Entries: Personal journal content (Talk to Me feature)

  • Notes: Daily and tomorrow notes (Things I'll Forget feature)

  • Accountability Data: Items submitted to Temple of Shame

  • Payment Information: Subscription tier and Apple purchase receipts (processed by Apple, not stored by us)

1.2 Automatically Collected Information

  • Device Information: Device type, operating system, browser type, and device identifiers

  • Usage Data: Pages viewed, features used, time spent in the app, and interaction patterns

  • Location Data: Timezone information (automatically detected from your device)

  • Communication Data: SMS delivery status, voice call status, and alert acknowledgment records

1.3 AI-Generated Content

We use AI services to generate event preparation checklists, motivational content, financial insights, and personalized suggestions. Your data is processed by third-party AI providers (OpenAI) for these features.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide Core Services: Manage your calendar, send reminders, track goals, and deliver all app features

  • Send Alerts: Deliver SMS and voice call reminders for your scheduled events and activities

  • Generate AI Content: Create personalized checklists, financial insights, and motivational messages

  • Process Payments: Manage your subscription tier and verify Apple in-app purchases

  • Improve the Service: Analyze usage patterns to enhance features and user experience

  • Communicate: Send important service updates, account notifications, and support responses

  • Ensure Security: Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security threats

  • Comply with Legal Obligations: Respond to legal requests and enforce our Terms of Service

3. SMS and Voice Alert Services

Important: SMS & Voice Consent

By providing your phone number and using GetAWAD, you explicitly consent to receive automated SMS text messages and voice calls for event reminders and service notifications. Standard message and data rates may apply.

Alert Providers: We use Vonage (formerly Nexmo) for SMS and voice call delivery.

Alert Content: Alerts include event titles, times, locations, and AI-generated preparation checklists.

Opt-Out: You can disable alerts at any time through the Settings page in the app.

4. Information Sharing and Disclosure

4.1 Third-Party Service Providers

GetAWAD shares your information with trusted third-party providers who assist in operating the Service:

  • OpenAI: AI content generation (checklists, insights, suggestions)

  • Vonage: SMS and voice call delivery

  • Base44: Platform hosting and database services

  • Apple: In-app purchase processing and subscription management (iOS)

  • Stripe: Payment processing for subscriptions (Android and web users)

  • Mailgun/SendGrid: Email delivery for notifications

These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data and use it only for specified purposes.

4.2 Team and Manager Access

If you are part of a team (organizational account), your manager or team administrator may have access to your calendar events and certain activity data for coordination purposes. Journal entries (Talk to Me) and Temple of Shame submissions remain private.

4.3 Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or governmental request, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.

4.4 Business Transfers

If GetAWAD is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change.

5. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information, including:

  • Encryption of data in transit and at rest

  • Secure authentication with security PIN protection

  • Regular security audits and monitoring

  • Access controls limiting employee access to personal data

  • Secure API integrations with third-party services

However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. Specific retention periods:

  • Account Data: Retained while your account is active

  • Calendar Events: Retained indefinitely unless deleted by you

  • Alert Logs: Retained for 90 days for troubleshooting

  • Financial Data: Retained while your account is active

  • Journal Entries: Retained indefinitely unless deleted by you

  • Usage Logs: Retained for 12 months

When you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal purposes.

7. Your Rights and Choices

You have the following rights regarding your personal information:

  • Access: Request a copy of your personal data

  • Correction: Update or correct inaccurate information through Settings

  • Deletion: Request account deletion through Settings or by contacting support

  • Opt-Out: Disable SMS and voice alerts at any time

  • Data Portability: Request a copy of your data in a portable format

  • Withdrawal of Consent: Withdraw consent for data processing where applicable

8. Children's Privacy

GetAWAD is intended for users aged 16 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 16, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.

9. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence. These countries may have data protection laws different from your country. By using GetAWAD, you consent to the transfer of your information to the United States and other countries where we, or our service providers operate.

10. California Privacy Rights

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):
